  • Design and build a working Newton's Cradle out of billiard balls.

Current Tasks:

  1. Find best combination of drill size and screw eye size
  2. Need to use epoxy?

  4. Decide: how many ball we need
  5. If needed, bid for more balls on eBay
  6. Sketch design of structure
  7. Decide: materials for structure (pine? 1"x2"?), Calculate length needed.
  8. Decide: use screws or nails?
  9. Decide: type of string needed

Preparation Information:

  • Balls can be drilled without crumbling and screw eyes seem to hold
  • We have 28 billiard balls currently
  • Wood balls also work
